Stormbringer speculates whether this image is PhotoChopped or some new leftist salute or just evidence of Zero’s incredible stupidity. I’m rolling with either evidential stupidity or some new leftist salute (the lapel pin and wedding rings tell me the image is real, although Mobama’s hips DO look thinner than usual):
“I pledge undying love to the fags of the United Nations of Globalism and to kill all Republicans wherever they stand, one dominion, over everyone, taking liberty and justice from all.”

If it was shopped, kudos to the person’s attention to detail. Wedding bands, M’s hair, and Zero’s lapel pin. That said, I would need more context of the event at hand to be sure.

Nah. Progressives don’t bother to salute at all. Also, no progressive thinks Obama is a progressive. Some moderate Dems think Obama is a progressive. Tea Party Conservatives think Obama is a raging progressive, especially for a Kenyan. Beltway Conservatives couldn’t care less if Obama is a progressive or a Kenyan; they only care that their contracting, lobbying, and punditing jobs are all lined up.
I see. So … do you think the pResident and his … ahem … cow always wear their wedding rings on the wrong hand or that Zero wears a lapel pin on the wrong side or that Mobama’s typical part has suddenly been imparted on the wrong side? Are your eyes really that bad?

Well, my eyes may just be that bad. But hey, Hollywood made Gary Cooper (a natural rightie) bat lefty when he played Lou Gehrig in Pride of the Yankees simply by flipping the negative over and dicing and splicing. (A cheap trick they didn’t bother to do with Ray Liotta playing Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams. Shoeless Joe batting righty! An abomination). That being said, this is a striking photoshop of the Obamas, who, I think, poseurs or not, have mastered the correct pledge protocol.
*Snarky, I have never deleted a commenter’s comment. I lost a whole archive’s worth of comments a while ago when I changed layouts and switched from using Haloscan to using Blogger’s plain-old comments system. It is possible that the old comments are floating around in some Google cache, but I’ve never checked.
Let’s call the “progressives” for what they really are: marxists or communists. “Beltway Conservatives” contracting lobbying and punditing jobs?
Most conservative pundits I know have REAL J.O.B.S. unless they found themselves unemployed, they do it for fun like Dr. Dave here. As opposed to admitted PAID HACKS like Markos, the leader of the Daily Kossacks. Pundits I know don’t make a dime off of “punditing”. I thought all those “contracting”, “Lobbying” and “punditing” jobs were all zipped up by the Obamatrons. Hell everybody knows that even the Chrysler dealerships that donated money to Bush were thrown overboard when Obama did his FASCIST TAKEOVER of the automobile industry.

I’m a bit confused on this, Grace. If Obama isn’t considered a progressive, why did the Democratic Party nominate him in the first place and why did Democrats vote for him in the election. During the election, all Obama talked about was “change”, but he never stated what that “change” would be and no one bothered to ask him. Sounds to me like the Democratic Party bought a pig in a poke and then sold it to the American voters, not very ethical!
Speaking of pigs, I would also like to suggest that the Republicans are certainly not the only ones engaged in pork barrel politics within the Beltway. “Rolling Stone” magazine in a May 2008 article highlighted the “Queen of Pork”, Hillary Clinton (www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/20306341/the_queen_of_pork).
It seems to me that the Democrats are at least as adept at spending other people’s money for their own benefit as are the Republicans, likely more so! And the Democrats have their own lobbyists and pundits with their snouts in the trough. Pot calling the kettle black, Grace?
Trust me or not, Zardoz, full-tilt progressives are not happy with Obama and they’re not happy with Congress. (Then again, American progressives are never happy.) They want a single-payer healthcare system (not gonna get it). They don’t want any more troops sent to AfPak; a progressive-in-good standing sees 30,000 soldiers heading for AfPak as another $30 billion that’s not going into domestic programs. They want the Iraq and the AfPak wars ended yesterday (not gonna happen). About the one thing Obama and a Democratic Congress can deliver on is the re-regulation of stuff that’s been de-regulated since the mid-1990s (especially the FIRE sector of the economy). That might make a progressive half-smile.
So are progressives like the old Christmas saying, “Every time a freedom is taken away, a progressive smiles?”

Grace, if the Democrats control the White House and both Houses of Congress and they still can’t get what they want, then it sounds to me like the Democratic party is a spent, corrupt force. Or maybe what the Democrats want is just not what the American people want and they have run up against a wall of popular discontent and opposition to their initiatives.
Also, could you please explain what exactly you mean by “full-tilt progressives”? Where exactly do these people fit in on the political spectrum?
In America, a full-tilt progressive is someone who really wants to live in a Scandinavian country but doesn’t like the climate.
Well they won’t like it here either when the next ice age sets in.
Perhaps they could all move to Malmö, Sweden, it’s 25% Muslim. The full-tilt progressives could debate global warming with the suicide bombers. Scandinavia is suffering the ravages of Politically Correct thought, I’d hate to see the U.S. go the same route!
So socialists/progressives think obama’s not progressive/socialist enough? That sure says a lot about the progress that progressives want.

It MUST be photoshopped. I mean, what other reason could there be for the Obamas to put EITHER hand over their breast? I know he prefers the double-crotch salute. And you don’t even have to photoshop those!
I would consider that the image could have been reversed (I really hate to think that both of them would be dumb enough to not know that you place your RIGHT hand over your heart), but those look like wedding rings on their fingers. Usually people in the west wear those on their left hands.
Easy enough to do. Reverse the image; photoshop on the rings (not much detail to the rings; very generic looking); and then copy and paste the flag pin on to the lapel. Voila!
